What Does Rosacea Look Like

Rosacea is one of the most common skin diseases around the globe. In fact I just found out that my mother in law has it, even though I never knew about it so it can be very tricky to spot.

So what does it look like?
Rosacea is often seen in what's called the T-zone of the face. The T zone is the area above your eyebrows and then down the middle of your face. It can look like acne or pus zits. People with rosacea experience redness around their cheeks or skin build up around their nose which can look like the skin on your nose is peeling off. This peeling effect can also appear on the jaw or on the ears but the nose is definitely the most common.

Now, to put the above in plain English for you, what seems like zits might not be zits and what seems like skin peeling off, might not be skin peeling off, if you know what I mean. That's what makes it so hard to spot. I mean, you go into the bathroom, look in the mirror, notice a zit on your forhead and depending on how old you are you can think it's either teenage acne or cystic acne but you'll most likely not suspect rosacea, right?

Now, How do you treat rosacea?
No one really knows why we get rosacea, but it is most likely an inflammation in your skin. This inflammation can be caused by sun damage, exposure to heat and cold, stress and even micro organisms, so if you want to get rid of rosacea or make sure it never happens to you, just be sure you're careful with the above.

Now, I am not saying that you should start meditating three hours a day or never go sunbathing again, but as you probably already realize, anything in excess is harmful to you and especially too much sun, cold or stress. Also, you need to know that there are certain soaps that will cause you to have rosacea, so whenever you go buy some shower gel or soap, make sure you do proper research to prevent yourself from suffering from this condition.

As I mentioned before in this article, spotting rosacea might be tough. Due to the fact that it's not really easy to know if you have rosacea, treating it can be difficult as well, but if you want to make sure you're rosacea-free jut visit your physician and he'll be more than happy to help you out.

What does Eczema look like

Eczema is skin condition which can be identified by red dry looking flaky and cracked skin. It can affect various parts of the body and is often prevalent in the face and neck areas. The condition can be painful and irritating as well as causing confidence problems related to appearance anxiety.

The most common type of Eczema is called Atopic Eczema which tend to be a hereditary condition. It can affect people of all ages but more commonly affect children who grow out of the condition at an early age.

Eczema Treatments

The condition can be sporadic in its outbreaks, fairing up from time to time. It is thought that certain triggers cause these flare ups such as
■Certain Pollens
■Some Soaps
■Infection of the skin
■dust mites
■Animal hair or fur
■Overheating
■Certain types of abrasive clothing

Treatment involves the application of special moisturisers. Soap substitutes are also used to replace soap which can have a drying out effect on the skin
