
Mouth ulcers occur orally and can be painful meaning eating can become difficult depending on where the ulcer is in the mouth. So what do mouth ulcers look like. They can be clearly identified as round red sores which occur within the mouth.
there are 3 main types of mouth ulcer but the minor ulcer accounts for the majority of ulcers (around 80%). They are small in appearance and usually only last a few days then disappear without leaving any scarring.
You may be able to tell is an ulcer is about to appear by a stinging or burning feeling at one spot in your mouth. A red spot will then appear which will develop into an ulcer which will be painful to the touch and feed stingy. A white or yellow color can often appear within the ulcer surrounded by red sour swelling.

- fast weight loss
- food allergies
- Certain vitamin deficiencies
Over the counter treatments can sooth the ulcers symptoms and making things like eating less painful within the duration of the ulcer
